The way O’Reilly uses actual numbers for details helps readers imagine the storyline of Kennedy’s life rather than just learning the main events. For example, the writer describes the vehicle in which Kennedy was shot in great detail by stating that the SS-100-X has mid-vehicle jump seats that “stretch the car from the 133-inch wheelbase of a factory Lincoln to 156 inches” (O’Reilly 271). The story also includes specific times that events occur to help the reader truly understand how fast Kennedy’s life ended. O’Reilly’s writing style includes an enormous amount of details that make Killing Kennedy more interesting to the reader.
Even though Killing Kennedy does not seem like a nonfiction book, the reader is able to obtain numerous details that he would not have known before reading the book.
