Miss Princess Lou Tubiano introduce the following resolution:
An act for environmental development and reforms that is essential to the permanence in Philippines and future generations.
Be it enacted by the Senate and the House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled for the environmental development and reforms that are essential to permanence in Philippines and future generations and any found doing illegal acts be subject to penalties by the DENR.
Section 1. For the purpose of the act the following definitions shall apply: A. Development: A specified state of growth or advancement. B. The action or process of reforming an institution or practice. C. Permanence: The state or quality of lasting or remaining unchanged indefinitely.
Section 2. An educational talk regarding the issues and proper care of the environment in every locality be implemented for the awareness of the people.
Section 3. An environmental program immediately be implemented in the Philippines by providing the basic necessities: first, creating effective vocational schools to train workers I planting, recycling, and in new types of agricultural techniques.
Section 4. The minimization of using plastics especially in shopping malls, stores, and other businesses that are using plastics. The use of paper bags shall be imposed.
Section 5. Strict observance of compost pit in every house and the prohibition of illegal logging, mining, and quarrying.
Section 6. The DENR shall have the sole authority to punish those who are violating the rules.
Section 7. This bill shall take effect 5 months after passage.
