The school of development psychologists study the personality, cognitive ability, and behavior change during somebody's life span. The students there will most likely attempt to determine what external factors our characteristics have to deal with. For example, after we are born, we learn to talk by listening to other people do it. The external factor of parents, Tvs, and radios all have an influence on babies learning to talk. Because of the school of behaviorism’s outlook, they agree with the Nurture side of the argument. Nature is basically what is already in our brains and is influenced by genetic inheritance and other biological factors.
The school of personality psychologists focuses on people’s patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving. This school might not be able to come to a solid conclusion to whether or not some behavioral aspects are a result of either inherited or acquired characteristics.
