Biological Profile Essay
The last step to complete a biological profile is to determine the time of death, which can be categorised in three ways. The first one is the physiological time of death, meaning the point at which the dead body and the vital organs stop functioning. The second one is the estimated time of death, which is the best assessment based on available information. The third one is the legal time of death, describing the time at which the body was found or physically pronounced dead by another person. Additionally, this is the time shown on the death certificate by

One way that a forensic pathologist might use to help determine the time of death would be with Rigor Mortis and Liver Mortis conditions. When the muscles of the body relax and become rigid, it’s called Rigor Mortis, and this happens twenty-four hours after the time of death and then goes away after about thirty-six hours. Liver Mortis happens soon after death too. This condition in the body happens as the blood stops pumping through the body and settles in the lowest parts of the body toward the ground. Another condition that can determine the time of death is Algor Mortis. Algor Mortis is the gradual cooling of the body after death. Forensic pathologists would consider factors as in where the body is, the air temperature, and the size of the body to determine the temperature to determine the time of death.…

This is a man who was diagnosed dead in the back of an ambulance and fell into a coma. Doug is not lying when he says he likes to have fun because he is a man suffering from a severe brain injury due to his passion for fun and the thrill of excitement. He was young and doing want any young boy likes to do with a four-wheeler and that his go fast. Laura Stone, writer for dontjudgeme.com, writes; “Speaking of those toys… While speeding on his quad (ATV) sans helmet, he smacked into a partially hidden tree stump and flew up in the air an estimated 80 to 120 feet, coming straight down on his head. As he lay there convulsing, the ambulance made its way through the bracken to him. He died in the back of it as they raced back to the hospital, but was able to be brought back to life. He fell into a coma and stayed there for twelve days.” Doug is still looking forward these days and has a recent change in his life.…

The biological approach to psychology which looks at physical aspects controlling behaviour such as the structures of the brain, gives evidence that both nature and nurture are involved in our behaviour. For instance a study which compared the incidence of schizophrenia in MZ and DZ twins (Gottesman and Shields (1966)) found a concordance rate of 40% for the MZs but only 9% for the DZs. As arguably the only material differences between these groups was the fact that MZs share 100% genetic material whereas DZs on average only share 50% of their genes, this gives strong evidence that schizophrenia has a genetic component. However it is notable that even the sharing of 100% of genes with an ill sibling did not confer a certainty of getting the disease which implies that in this case at least, there must be some environmental factors at work.…
