Introduction
St. Hilda’s Diocesan High School is an all-girls school located in the town of Browns Town. It is located in the parish of St. Ann, Jamaica and the school is a few feet from the busy town centre. The school has approximately 950 students enrolled this year and there are 5 classes for each year group.
I am a student of St. Hilda’s Diocesan High School for almost 5 years and each year I have observed an increase in the use of technology by students. This investigation was therefore carried out to find the reason for this and how it affects students’ performance in school.
