a. In my culture we are very religious so if I were to become ill I will take whatever medication that my doctor prescribes and I will pray to God and believe that he will heal me. Sometimes medications don’t work so I put my faith in God and expect him to heal me and if he doesn’t I believe that it is his will, it wasn’t meant to be.

The U.S biomedicine just focus on the biological and physical aspect of health. They do not look the social, Psychological or environmental aspect of health. According to the text, the World Health Organization see health as being “a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, not merely an absence of disease or infirmity”. a. According to the text, the United states dietary guidelines recommend a diet full of vegetables, whole grain, and fruits and smaller intake of meats, legumes and dairy products. The guidelines also recommend to avoid sugary, fatty and salty foods.
