Introduction:
Through the concept of Biopolitics Government can introduce new elements in the disciplinary methods and judicial power. The theory states about the sovereign rights which is functioned through the pre-determined and complementary notion that is followed by the society and individuals. The authorities adopt effective measures like sovereignty, duty, contract, and rights to effectively function the concept of the government. As per Foucault, judicial power mainly concentrates on using the power on individuals. This is executed with the help of two types of power namely biopolitics and biopower (Flew T, n.d.). In bio-politics method the problem related to politics and scientific are checked and it is driven by the force of rehabilitation, institution, and normalization.
Human rights are one of the concerns that can be resolved and tackled by adopting the right method of biopolitics. The issue associated with the legal framework, its application, and others can be visualized and approached through bio-politics method. As per thinkers like Costos Douzinas, Conar Gearty, Slavoj Zizek, and others this approach can be adopted for making a meaningful attempt towards solving the human right related problem. The concept was precisely unveiled in The History of Sexuality –The Will to Knowledge, which was published in the year 1970. The evolution and implication of the concept was not easy, as in the beginning it leads to much confusion. Foucault has integrated the modern state with the classical concept of sovereignty. In such a situation the power is administered, preserved, and developed so as to derive maximum benefits out of the same. Foucault talks about the paradox, where it has been stated that wars would be never bloody, if the authorities granted equal rights to everyone, and took care of the needs of the people themselves.
