Chapter 2 Questions Andrew Buchholz
DQ:
1) You would find forms such as Material Availability Reports, Production Order Forms, Material Requisition Forms, a Production Schedule, and Production Status Forms in the production/conversion cycle.
2) Garbage in garbage out means that if you only put garbage into the data processing cycle, or bad materials or inputs, then you will only get garbage out. You cannot start with bad inputs and expect to get great outputs. To keep this from happening you need to focus on the inputs that you are putting into the cycle in order to create and be able to control better outputs.
3) Documents that are turnaround documents are going to be forms that the company prints out and gives to an employee that needs to record information on it throughout the day and then input what he has recorded back into the company’s computer system at the end of the day. One example would be a gas company who prints out forms and then the employ travels around to read customers meter numbers, he then records them and inputs them back into the computer.
Problems:
2) X-X-X-XX
X, 1-4 = Division
X, 1-6 = Major Categories
X, 0-9 = Control Account
XX, 0-99 = Subsidiary Accounts for each control account

44 expense accounts would be in the subsidiary accounts for the expense control account, and the 12 variable accounts would be under their appropriate control account.

Problems:

American Author Zane Gray once stated “I hate birthdays.” Perhaps he said this because he has had a bad experience with birthdays. Maybe he simply doesn’t like celebrating something as frivolous as a birthday. Personally, I concur with Mr. Gray’s statement, I too, hate birthdays. Even though the vast majority of the population enjoy their birthday and most likely consider it their favorite holiday, birthdays do not appeal to me however because of, my past natal day experiences, the annoyance of the annual overhyped celebrations, and my fear of being disappointed again.…

In the dystopian novel, The Giver, by Lois Lowry, and in the current American Society, birthdays are celebrated both similarly and differently. In both societies birthdays are acknowledged, however in unlike ways. In The Giver, Jonas’s society acknowledges birthdays through a mass celebration in December until they are 12 years old. Every child 12 or younger, celebrates their birthday on one out of two days reserved for celebration. “The Ceremony of 12,” on the second day, is the final celebration; after that, citizens do not keep track of their birthdays and they are no longer celebrated (45). In contrast, the modern day American society celebrates birthdays individually on their actual day of birth. Also, in both societies, Jonas’s and modern…

Everyday you teach me something new with your nerdy ass brain. I still love you. I hope you turn shorter because I hate you for being tall. Gimme your legs and the problem will be solved. You're crazy at times like I'm not even kidding. Your laugh and your smile brighten my day in a second, having you in my life is the number one reason I should live. I am the luckiest girl in the world to have a namja chingu like you. Same pinch, because you are the luckiest boyfriend in the world to have a girlfriend like me. Being in a relationship with you is crazier than the craziest roller coaster ride. I love my life, all thanks to a very very special boyfriend like you. Remember the times when we first gone out omg that was mad awkward. I still remember the times when we went to the park together. You changed so much. You're very welcome. And I hate it when you "try" to fix my English. I feel like shoving something up your throat. I'm so violent thanks for putting it up everyday. You always tolerate my mood swings, my tantrums and pull me up when I'm down. You are my ultimate source of inspiration and happiness. This is going to be very long. I know and you know that you like my letters so... My love for you is like the digits of Pi, its infinite and non repeating. Oh nerd alert ^ I can be nerdy sometimes but not nerdy as you. I might have a few secrets I never told you and I do a lot of crazy things but I can never hide my love for you. There are so many times you drive me insane with your annoying humor. But then again, it is that very same humor that makes me fall in love with you over and over again every day. Thanks for everything and enjoy your birthday.…
