Introduction Information systems can be a good way to make a business run smoother and more effectively. As a new business, all employees of The Music Solution© will be educated on the different types of information systems in the workplace, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of these systems. The type of system depends on the kind of business. Many information systems aren’t necessary in small businesses.
Different Options for Information Systems Here at The Music Solution©, the options for information systems can be somewhat limited. These options include; * Transaction Processing Systems * Payroll Processing Systems * Office Automation Systems * Expert Systems * E-Commerce Systems
These information systems are systems that are used every day by businesses around the world. They all have advantages and disadvantages. These advantages and disadvantages are shown in the table below.
Information Systems Options | Advantages | Disadvantages | Transaction Processing Systems | Allows us to process customers through the use of credit or debit cards, cash, or even with a check | If system is down, cash is the only available method of payment | Payroll Processing Systems | Helps keep track of employee hours and pay | System malfunction could cause employees to not receive wages | Office Automation Systems | Helps keep track of tasks and schedules | Tasks could end up incomplete without proper knowledge of system | Expert Systems
