Barber wrote an article called “Black Friday…Gray Thursday.” Many people have issues with Black Friday because it is taking over Thanksgiving; Barber addresses this in his writing and tells a tale of corporate greed that fuels Black Friday, but I don’t think that’s the whole story. Consumers fuel it and they are the ones that create the dangerous situations and excessive actions, but corporations like yours add to is as well with the crazy hours and sales, it drives people to extremes and makes they forget about Thanksgiving.
Everybody deserves to spend Thanksgiving at home and not preparing for the mad house that will commence at midnight. I ask you to consider my proposal or to come up with your own that will improve the conditions of Black Friday and change it to a safer and more manageable day for everyone.
