Hello everybody. I'm here. Actually, I'm not really good in writing. But it's doesn't matter. I will try my best. hehe. So..I'm going to talk about my new extreme life in Pahang Matriculation College. For the first step into in this college, it was quite nervous as none of my friends from my previous school came here. I was afraid that i couldn't get any friends. Thus, most of my friends told me before that getting in any matriculation college will make me feel stress as there will be a great competition among the students and it will only take 10 months to finish this matriculation programme. So, the time is fixed. These things has make me worry. For your information guys, at school, I was not an excellent student who always does her homework on time and studying at all time. Back then, I was a student who likes to play a lot. Sometimes, I would also break the school rules. haha. Studying at last minute was like just my hobby. In that case, I afraid that my old habits will affect my studies here. For the time being, I will try to not be the old me and do my best here as the saying goes let bygone be bygone. The first orientation week, I was so extremely busy!! I have to wake up at about 4.15 in the morning. Arghhh!!! Luckily, it was just for a week. So, as three weeks of classes passed, I experienced a lot of things. The lecturers are all sporting. Actually, I' m worrying about the science subjects which are Biology, Physics and Chemistry as i always get low marks in form 5 especially Physics. I planned to switch to Module 3 because this module doesn't has Physics subject. so, it will reduce my tension by not taking all those critical subjects. But I didn't do it. Yet, I think that I'm not doing all these things alone. I have my caring lecturers and the best part is, I have many new friends who always care about me. They will help me. I'm sure of it. We will help each other as we are like a big family!! Well, I think that's all I can share with you today. Tata for now.

In the article “Blogs and Democratization”, John Vivian talks about how anyone can make a blog and express their opinion especially about polities and also influence people. A lot of people today have blogs because it’s affordable and it’s easy to access. Although before the new gatekeeping rule, blogging had no code of conduct. They would keep stories “alive that’ve been played out. They inform the public about anything whether it’s a fact or not. Anyone can be a blogger, the internet is a mass communication tool anything anyone post can go viral just by the click of a bottom. For example bloggers kept the presidential candidate John Kerry and his office intern affair alive. Nobody could not ignore what was said and Kerry and his intern…

On this week’s episode of “GPS”, Fareed Zakaria interviewed a variety of guests to contribute on the issues of Saudi Arabia and the oil economy. He first spoke to Tony Blair, the former prime minister of the United Kingdom about the death of King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia. I found Blair to be the most interesting guest because of his personal opinion and experience with King Abdullah, and he described the king’s attitude in describing a country that in some ways is a very conservative country. Blair stated that Abdullah said that they were doing the change, but wanted to let the Saudis do it at their own pace. He also mentioned how he always have a debate as to whether Saudi Arabia should accelerate or and go faster and so on. In the end, Blair said that he believed that what Abdullah was really trying to do, was to create these vehicles of change in the country. Blair’s statement on using Saudi Aramco, the oil company, was that it is not run like many oil companies around the world but still actually is a really top well-run company. The university he established, the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, featured men and women being treated equally and educated equally. Blair believes that the term science and technology was chosen for a reason, and claims that Abdullah’s view would be that he was moving as fast as he could. This rather favorable opinion of Saudi Arabia, a controversial country and oil power was very informative and helped create an interesting conversation. Another one of Fareed’s featured guests was Martin Wolf, who spoke about the oil economy. As an economist, Wolf believes that in the current oil situation, the Saudis have another possible choice, which is for them is to start cutting production. Wolf claims that this might raise oil prices, but he believes that they would then bear a disproportional part of the losses. It would depend on how they think that would affect other country's output and what they think the…

In the 19th century, all civilians of African descent were treated as inferiors to citizens of white skin complexion. Segregation became a dominant influence in society, and the living conditions (comparing white communities versus black communities) were practically contrapositive to each other. Basically, on average, the black people (or other inferior races during this time period) lived in terrible isolated districts that consist of tenements, where brown-skinned families live in extremely crowded habitats, unsanitary “rat-infested” (174) living conditions, with a barely affordable price. Whites on the other hand, lived in lavish and sanitary living conditions, with plenty of territory to spare. This time period is also classified as an era where wealthy individuals took advantage of the less fortunate people. These actions included lowering wages, increasing rent, and excluding the poverty-stricken to crowded slovenly dumps. In Native Son, Wright exposes the fabricated heroisms of hypocritical philanthropists like Mr. Dalton, who donate or make amends for their own iniquitous actions.…

Sameer Pandya’s The Picture for Men: Superhero or Slacker, Stefan Babich’s The Fall of the Female Protagonist in Kid’s Movies and Amanda Marcotte’s The Shocking Radicalism of Brave all expresses a tone of opposition to the issue of gender gap. They specifically focus on the media especially in movies and cartoons where men are most times the prevailing character and superheroes while women are helpmates and trophies to be won by them. This is an obvious trend and I indisputably agree with this resentment.…

After the collapse of the Roman Empire in 476 C.E., much of the Mediterranean basin was in disorder with no leadership. Germanic tribes from the north had conquered the last emperor and claimed the land their own. But in the east, a new empire was blooming, the Byzantine Empire. The Byzantine Empire was both similar and different from the previous Roman Empire, and its greatest ruler, Justinian, made it his main ambition to regain the lost territory, and power of Rome.…

A web log or blog is defined in Merriam-Webster’s online dictionary as “ a web site that contains an online personal journal with reflections, comments, and often hyperlinks provided by the writer.” (Merriam-Webster). Blog’s are increasingly popular to many Internet users because of its up to date information and details that cannot be covered on the mainstream media. There are variety of topics on blog, this include topics on sports, business, technology, environmental issues, politics and entertainment. To have a better understanding what a web log is and what types of blogs are out there, I have chosen 2 blogs that focuses on the housing crisis in the United States. The first blog is called “Market Ticker”, created in April 2007. The writer goes by the name of Genesis. The second blog is called “Housing Panic Blog”, created in November 2005 by Keith Brand. Here I am going to compare and contrast about these two blogs: the difference in the layouts, how they post their views, the purposes and important issues they bring up to the readers, and whether or not the two writers achieved on what they have done so far.…

They Hurt Me Life is a change without a doubt. People born, grows, changes positively or negatively or both and finally dies. During the lifetime, people are affected by their parents, teachers, schools, friends, social environment, life experiences and so on. Like all people, my life is a change, too. My ideas have changed, my habits are changed, my behavior to the other people have changed. I am sure that they will continue to change throughout all my life. Now, I would like to talk about the negative changes I have gone through since I came to university. When I was preparing for the university exam, I always dreamed about what kind of lifestyle I will have at the university. However, those dreams only consist of guesses because I would not know positive or negative consequences clearly. Today, I am at the university, I have a lifestyle and I think about the changes. I have gone two negative changes through since I came to university. To begin with, the first negative change is about my reading habit. Since I came to university, I lost almost all my reading habit. Firstly, when I was at high school, I used to read approximately two books a week. Now, I am using that time for unnecessary works or activities instead of reading. In high school, I was staying at our high school’s dormitory and dormitory have some rules. We had etudes at dormitory. At etude times, we had to study our lessons or do our homeworks. I already like reading books and dormitory rules were supporting me about it. In addition, I did not have too much tools that takes me away from reading like computer. Since I came to university, some changes in my lifestyle happened. For example, I have a computer belongs to me in my room and I can use it whenever I want without any limit. I prefer spending time on Internet or playing games on my computer instead of reading. Furthermore, I have a lot of freedom in my life, I have a lot of free time. I have realized one of my characteristics that if I have so…

A few days later on I was surprised to receive an email written by the Chairman of our senior batch himself, welcoming us to SIMSREE, informing us of an induction day that was going to be held before the start of college. The induction day actually put my nerves to rest as the seniors went out of their ways to give us complete information regarding the college, rules & regulations, what we need to do to build our CV's. This ice breaking session got me all ready to get, set and go to work hard to achieve and pursue my goals as them. As college started I was in for a rude shock when I learnt that we were going to have 11SUBJECTS in the first semester itself. Being a BCom student I was highly relieved to know that few of the subjects were already known to me but what about my other unfortunate engineer friends, accounts was akin to a foreign language for them(by the way they have proven me wrong, as all of them at excel at it).…

Some of us may like to forget our freshman year, but in general it is a time filled with anticipation, some anxiety, and wonderful discoveries. My first year of being a student was much interesting and amazing. Suffice to say that it was a bit stressful as everything was new for me, a new region and town and also new people to live with. My freshman experience definitely made an impression on me. Without any doubts, it was much dramatic for me as I had to live far away from home. The first thing I noticed was the workload. It was really heavier and more intense than I ever experienced before. Unlike school and the lyceum I studied at, I had to get used to the large volume of reading, the short deadlines and the writing. I had to be solely responsible for my own education. I thought that at the university will be like at school, but I was wrong. I wanted to improve my English and Ukrainian, that’s why I entered the Ukrainian Philology Department with the English specialization. Firstly, I want to say that I have a wonderful group which mostly consists of girls and I’ve got an opportunity to be always surrounded with girls I can talk to deciding the things about our study or just in general on different topics. Each of us has an aim which is to become a philologist. We have a lot of common interests like English, Internet, literature, music. We all understand that we will be together for five years and we should be like a family. Each of us is a personality, has an opinion and tries to prove that is the best. Before entering the university I was a pupil that finished the medical and biological lyceum. But now I am a student that wants to be a teacher, to be a success, and make my parents happy and proud of me. The first year of study is over long ago. Comparing this year with the previous one I can remark that I became more responsible, more adult. This year was very special because it was the first. Also I made a lot of…
