Written Assignment #1
Part I: Company Description & Organizational Structure
Elegance Recycled is an elegant gown and formal attire rental shop located in Hong Kong, China. Traditionally, gowns of this type were bought and never rented. Currently, there is no place like Elegance Recycled where dresses or gowns to a formal event can be rented in China. As disposable income continues to decline, everyone is always looking for innovative, reasonable and practical options to save money when it comes to spendthrift occasions.
Elegance Recycled would be located in Hong Kong Island South that contains, “relentless concrete and steel towers…,and offers sweeping scenery and majestic views” This area is also an enclave of Hong Kong’s wealthy who would be more susceptible to needing such merchandise.
Furthermore, for occasions such as weddings, bridesmaids rarely wear their dresses again which will begin take up closet and storage space to store such gowns that will never see the light of day again. As a result, Elegance Recycled can cater to your formal and elegant needs that are environmentally efficient and cost effective. No more storage fees for outdated wedding gowns and minimal storage space for a growing family to house old gowns. Elegance Recycled will offer an assortment of dresses, gowns and accessories that can be tailored to the needs of your event. We offer pricing that will include quality merchandise at sensible fees as well as the option to purchase the gown that you rented.
The organizational structure would consist of the Chief Executive Officer above the Sales and Marketing Director, Accounting and Finance Director, and Production and Inventory Director. Below these positions would be managers that would assist directors in achieving organizational goals. Mangers will manage employees such as Cashiers and Gown Specialists.
