Scripture has so many fulfilling riches that are missed because preachers fail to spend time in the scriptures, but the scripture alone is a wonderful place to begin to seek sermonic ideas. One of the biggest down falls of preachers is that they don’t spend enough time in the scripture. It is hard to say that preaching comes from the scripture, but the preachers don’t have a firm understanding of what is found in…

Within our culture the Christian gospel can be professed as misunderstanding or even as Christians portraying themselves as being above that come from other religious backgrounds. One view that is disturbing is that Christians are known to be hypocritical by saying that they are Christian but their actions show differently. In some ways these perceptions are true as some Christians specially carnal Christians have a habit of looking at the gospel where it would benefit them rather than trying encourage others to learn about the gospel.…

I am passionate about Evangelism! My soul aches when I find out a person has died without knowing Christ. If only I could have done something. What if I would have told them about Jesus and His saving grace? The Holy Spirit enables us to be His witness; to take the Good News “to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8). I often think I should wait to share the gospel until I have had the proper “training”. I am afraid I won’t represent the word of God correctly or say something that might damage my delivery. The Holy Spirit has the power to guide me in all aspects of witnessing. All I need to do is “speak my truth” and be open to the whisperings of the Holy Ghost leading me. There is no better witness then one owns experience.…

It’s very difficult when we are in school to find the time to do what we love as disciples, which is to lead others to Christ. After working a full-time job I come home to do work for my company, Unique Expressions which is a promotional company. He asked me a few weeks later to do a second flyer for his ministry called “Empowerment” he begin to tell me how he goes around the community and invite them in for a short message in the word, prayer and koinonia . This is not the nicest community but one where most of the lower working class resides.…

Share Jesus Share Jesus Without Fear- Critique Abstract Christianity is declining in America at an alarming rate. Our nation is suffering morally and spiritually with no differentiation between Christians and lost people. Christians are committing the sin of silence and are putting their lamps under a basket instead of sharing the Gospel message. Without Christians dutifully carrying out the mandate of the Great Commission, millions will never know that there is hope in Jesus. It is my conviction that I must change from inaction to action and from fear to boldness. I pray that the reader of Share Jesus Without Fear will draw a similar conclusion. Share Jesus Without Fear- Critique The Sin of Silence is one of the most disobedient acts that a believer of Christ can commit…

    1. What are some ways the Christian gospel is perceived in our culture? Often Christians are seen as hypocrites, intolerant, judgmental and fake. some of the well-known televangelists have been exposed as charlatans, hucksters and fakes. This all gives Christianity a bad name and makes it difficult to witness, when the unsaved don’t see any benefit in being identified with such a group. Probably as "confusion," since the different denominations don't seem to agree on "what the gospel is."…
