PREFACE

This assignment is about organisation and managers. While completing this assignment I got the chance to explore why organisations exist, how managers manage, what they have in common and how they differ. To complete this assignment I had to interview a Manager of any company or organization asking him the questions given to us. The Manager I got to interview is Mr. Abdulla Rafiu, Managing Director / Co-owner of Sunwill Company Pvt Ltd, based in Male’ City, Maldives. His company involves in mainly construction business on contract basis and importing of some materials. This company is in business for more than 5 years now. Let’s precede with the one on one discussion questions with Mr. Rafiu.

1. Explain the role and characteristics of this organisation in general.
This is a limited liability company. This business structure protects the owner 's personal assets from financial liability and provides some protection against personal liability.
This structure is established under government law. This organization which I prefer to call company is mainly doing contract base construction projects like construction of Rooms in resorts and housing apartment flats, etc.
This Company is a separate entity with many distinct features which together make it a unique organization. The essential characteristics of this company are not limited to following:

Separate Legal Entity:
This means under corporation law of Maldives, an organization turns into a different legitimate element when contrasted with its individuals. This organization is different and not quite the same as its individuals in law. It has its own seal and its own particular name, its assets and liabilities are discrete and unique from those of its individuals. It is equipped for owning property, causing obligation, and getting cash, utilizing individuals,

    Organizations are a social unit of people that is structured and managed to meet or pursue collective goals. All organizations have management structures that determine the direction of the organization. The importance of an organization in society is substantial and understated as an organization can improvise, test, experiment and invent new strategies and approaches.     The first manager that was interviewed in order to fulfil this task was Mr X. He works for Company X, which is, a large service based organisation at the position of ‘Head of Corporate Credit Administration.’ His key responsibility at this bank is to provide credit administration support to Corporate, Investment banking and SME business.
