Bo Jackson Epic Hero Essay

Throughout our lives we hear tales of ancient heros that have slayed dragons and gone to other dimensions to save the world. The mindset has presented a status of requirements for one to be known as an epic hero. In reality we don’t gain aid from the supernatural let alone fight them alike to tales such as Beowulf or Shrek, but certain individuals have proven the science behind evolutionary human attributes to be breakable. Bo Jackson became, what some may say, a god among things athletic. He was blessed with the legs to carry him fast across a field and the strength to take down forces with the gravitational potential of twice his size. Jackson became known as a humble superhuman, more robot than man, a demigod who found the field to entertain the millions of fans he gained along the way. Although Bo Jackson wasn’t born into fame or nobility he did gain it as he grew up. While settling into his early stages of his teenage years, Jackson found his love to throw objects in which stories of his arm strength developed. He later developed his love for track in college and found fame in MLB (Major League Football) and the NFL (National Football League). While gaining these entities of being a “role model” Jackson stayed humble, he was able to not forget his roots and
In this case the supernatural foe was Brian Bosworth, who not only tried to create conflict with jackson on media but ended up tackling him down. The returning play that took NFL fans by surprise was when Jackson mowed through Bosworth in which some individuals described as a showdown between good and evil. Yet that was not the only obstacle Jackson had to conquer, he was cut for not following travel regulations and was also injured in the hip. The traveling regulation if anything made him more ambitious when he was taken in major league and the hip only motivated him to
