Although some say police body cameras may cause an increasingly large amount of money in the country's spending, really paying the price now will help a lot more than paying in the future because, this will prevent any disputes in incidents that happen in this country, and in the end there will be fewer lawsuits, less hate towards police, and more hard evidence of what happened. There are three sides to every story, your side, their side, and the truth. I’m trying to prove that you will get the truth by having body cameras equipped on police officers bulletproof vests.

Many cases either get no justice or putting the blame on someone without confirmation that he or she committed the crime. Now with body cameras there is hard evidence and, can prove “I don't believe it till I see it” claims. Also, can prove “beyond a reasonable doubt” that event happened because videos don't lie and, with clear confirmation of what took place that day. With unreliable witnesses and no hard proven facts can lead to lawsuits and can potentially cost any city loads of money. With lawsuits, there are settlements and with settlements come in money, money that is a loss to the city that can be equal to or more of what was/wasn't paid for the body …show more content…
For example, health insurance, you pay your premiums to get a low deductible on your visits to the doctor. When you have health insurance you can go to the doctors, ER, etc.. and just pay your deductible. Now let's say you don't have health insurance and you go to the doctor, your bill will be a large amount because you don't have insurance. This is exactly like having body cameras, you pay now to equip them so you don't pay in the future. Future meaning lawsuits that can be against the city, or officer. So why not pay the price now instead of the
