This can change the way we are because of different opinions coming to mind by different celebrities and may make us want to do something that we are not fine with, inorder to get along with the society. In The Pigman, Lorraine is being pressured by her mother to change her style and lose weight, this makes Lorraine gain paranoia and feel out of the society. In the article Body Image and Self Esteem it states,”"I'm too tall." "I'm too short." "I'm too skinny." "If only I were shorter/taller/had curly hair/straight hair/a smaller nose/longer legs, I'd be happy,” this can be one of the problem about your body image because of the media or society. The second article Dealing with Peer Pressure, it states”Some kids give into peer pressure because they want to be liked, to fit in, or because they worry that other kids might make fun of them if they don't go along with the group,” this could show that the kids want to get along with society and the child might need to adapt to a new style. In the last article Paranoia and Paranoid Disorders it states,”Since the delusions involve only one area, a person with paranoia can usually work and function in everyday life, however, their lives may be limited and isolated,” this can be involved with the feeling of being left out of society or the media, and lead to thoughts that you are imperfect and hideous.
