This book is great because it has a great conflict. It starts when Sadie and Carter Kane’s dad gets abducted by an Egyptian god that is out to destroy the Egyptian bloodline. Sadie and Carter are left with nothing, but their mysterious family are
the only thing that they have left. Sadie and Carter go through an epic adventure and learn some valuable life lessons along the way with their long lost family. These characters make a big influence in the book because they have such big roles, and they are counted on by their family and friends to save them from an evil Egyptian god. Sadie and Carter lived different lives before the whole Egyptian disaster. Sadie lived with her grandparents and Carter lived and traveled with their dad. They were very distant to each other and barely knew each other, but when their dad came to see them both the god came after them. Carter states that “Since I was eight years old, my dad and I have traveled the world.”. When I read this I think that must have been a great experience for him. When I read this I also think that Carter and Sadie must be really close. After all of the problems in the book they set everything right and mostly everything can go back to normal.
If I were to rate this book from a scale of 1-4 stars I would put it at a definite 4 stars. This book is great for any reader, and it is something that you would want to keep reading. The good thing about this is that it is an a series of 3 books, each one getting better every book you read. If you like Percy Jackson well you're in for a great treat, because Percy Jackson is in one of the books and both of the books have the same author. This book would be great for anyone, but it would be especially great for people who like to read fantasy or adventure books. A lot of people would like this book a lot because it's such a great book and it's very thrilling.
