Dorothy, The story main character, she is very brave, helpful and kind.

Scarecrow, has a silly head ,he want to improve himself,so want to find the witch to make a wish.

Tin Woodman, He is not flexible, so he want to improve it .Therefore,he want ro find the witch.

This book is talk about a gril, who called Dorothy, lived in the midst of the great Kansas prairies, with Uncle Henry, who was a farmer, and Aunt Em, who was the farmer's wife. Their house was small, for the lumber to build it had to be carried by wagon many miles. There were four walls, a floor and a roof, which made one room; and this room contained a rusty looking cookstove, a cupboard for the dishes, a table, three or four chairs, and the beds. Uncle Henry and Aunt Em had a big bed in one corner, and Dorothy a little bed in another corner. One day, whan they saw the sky, they saw a cyclone is coming. They ran and ran .However,Dorothy and her dog Toto can't ran away, they fly to sky by cyclone.Thay saw a lot of animals .Finally, They saw their family again, and they were happy.

I like Dorothy very much, because she is very brave and helpful. And the ending is very warm too , I like it very much. The story is very famous and excited, and I learn a lot from this book. For example,I learn we should be brave when there is dangerous in there.

My favourite part of this book is Dorothy how to solve the proplem .She is so clever and helpful .When she saw a lion , She hasn 't ran away, She is so brave, and she helped the lion to solve proplem.I think i should learn from her, learn how to be a brave, helpful and kind people too!

I found the book to be easy, exciting reading because the story line was very realistic and easily relatable. This book flowed for me to a point when, at times, it was difficult to put down. Several scenes pleasantly caught me off guard and some were extremely hilarious, namely, the visit to Martha Oldcrow. I found myself really fond of the characters, especially Harlen Bigbear. Harlen came across as a sort of ‘trickster', but a likable one. He was gentle, caring, and harmless in his own right. Will, the protagonist, was very likable as well. However, his character only evolved for me as a result of Harlen's unconditional and relentless friendship with him. In short, Will's character would've lacked without the likeness of a Harlen Bigbear. The character naming was also very ingenious. The Oldpersons, Prettywomans, baby South Wing, and others…

This entertained them for a while, seeing as how the adults took it so seriously, so they continued with their “game”. The adults were so dutiful to their children that they took the matter farther. This caused the innocent deaths of many unsuspecting people in the area.…

The Scarecrow was important in Dorothy’s quest because of his intelligence. At first, she met him hanging near a farm and she spoke to him. She found out that he had no self confidence because the Scarecrow thought of himself as not intelligent. Through out the story, the Scarecrow was the one who came up with bright ideas. For example, he has “been thinking what was best to be done” (49) to escape from the Kalidahs. Dorothy learned how to…

What I enjoyed most about reading this book was the way the author introduced and described all of the characters. I had a great picture in my mind about each and every character and I felt myself thinking about some of them even when they were absent from a page or two. It became so interesting that before I could finish the book, I had to turn to the internet to look up the characters of the movie. I just had to see them in the flesh!…
