book review on princess diana
Good morning everyone. I am going to share the book “Princess Diana” with you.

She was born in a royal family. She has two sisters and one younger brother. When she grew up she married Prince Charles. They have 2 children. But royal life is not easy. Thousands of journalists traced her by all methods. They were trying to get the every detail of her private life. Her life was full of the shadow paparazzi. She needed to bear all pressure form the public. She married for love but perhaps Prince Charles did not. Finally she decided to divorce with Prince Charles. After the divorce with Prince Charles, Diana was more involved in charity work. Unfortunately a car accident took Diana’s life in 1997 when she was just 36.

The most impressive part is that Princess Diana wasn’t like other cold royal members. She cared about others. She cared for the people who were underprivileged. She visited people in hospital and met people with terrible illnesses like AIDS. She worked from the heart but not the head. She was very kind. This is why Diana has such a big impact on the world.

Like Princess Diana she is very reputable and had a lot of money but she is not happy because she lost her freedom. Since Princess Diana lives under tremendous pressure, she was very unhappy, and she even wanted to commit suicide for 4-5 times.

(4)If I were Princess Diana I would not let my sons study in public schools. It is because I want my son have the best education. They are royal family unlike other children. I want give my sons the best things.

After reading Princess Diana’s story, it gave me a thought. In Hong Kong there is a big gap between the poor and rich. Many people are underprivileged. I have realized that I should do something to help them like some voluntary work. In the society today almost

The elephants kept in captivity in zoos and circuses have similarities to the African slaves of America. Firstly, the elephants are trained using a bullhook, which they are prodded and beaten with until the sight of it strikes fear in them. In order to force the elephant to perform the desired trick, the handler uses the bullhook to pull the elephant into position. Similarly, the slaveholders would use whips and other weapons to make a slave do what he or she was supposed to. At young ages, slaves would be “broken”, meaning they were beaten into a state of dehumanization. Additionally, both the elephant’s swaying and the slaves singing were ways for them to stay sane and pass the time. When the elephants sway, they are distracting themselves…

I have gone and put steady efforts in service since 2013, I have served in Tianjin Teda hospital, and Tang Gu Shine Home. From these community services, I saw many people who suffer more than me. I experienced many things from these community services, I promised myself to earn a lot of money to help these people more than I help them right now. I have also placed myself in service at the campus, such as helping math teacher, organizing library, and projecting donation services. By serving myself, I have learned the virtue “service” and to respect, communicate, and take care of the disabled people and young children, thus engaging me for an ongoing service. I would like to organize a campaign at the school to help those who live in undesirable conditions or at least to wake up TIS students to feel grateful for what they have right now and to feel helping world…

My life turned around, I thought I was going to suck at diabetes and die or somehow end up without a limb. It then taught me to thrive and bounce back because of the challenges it brought. I know it was appropriate because I stayed calm the whole time just for my mom and I wouldn’t have changed it cause I didn’t care how scared I was, I remained calm for my mom because she thought I was in so much pain. Honestly, now I go throughout my days like a normal kid and now I can manage my disease by myself but it just taught me that anything is possible but I go to learn how to adapt and thrive in new conditions. I believe it connects to the be ready for anything and be ready to adapt and thrive theme because I had no idea what was diabetes but…

    Poverty Should Be Fixed

Poverty is one of the most serious issues in the world. When one drives around Los Angeles, the person can easily find homeless people who beg for money on freeway off ramps or look for food in garbage cans. People should not neglect them being on the streets because it is unsafe and unclean. The rate of poverty consistently increases every year. Shah states “According to UNICEF, 22,000 children die each day due to poverty. And they ‘die quietly in some of the poorest villages on earth, far removed from the scrutiny and the conscience of the world. Being meek and weak in life makes these dying multitudes even more invisible in death.’”(qtd. In Shah) Many people and organizations have tried to solve this imbalance but are unsuccessful because poverty continuously gives birth to more poverty due to the lack of inheritance available for younger generations. In the long run, our children are victims of poverty from previous generation. People should fix the poverty problem as soon as possible because it causes many negative effects such as unemployment, health problems, environmental quality and sustainability. If poverty problem is fixed, it will bring us to be able to take advantage of better economic situation, health problem, and environmental effect from helping them.…
