Book Summary: The Darkest Minds

In the Book the Darkest minds you come across many types of characters with different types of personality’s and powers. The main protagonist in the book is Ruby Elizabeth Day who is classified as an orange. Ruby is a girl who was ripped away from her parents at a very young when it was found out that she had the disease. Ruby in the group is the one that will risk anything in order to protect her friends. In many parts of the book she protects them from being captured and taken back to their camps. The second is Liam Stewart who is classified as a blue and meets Ruby during her run away from the children’s league. He meets Ruby and for some reason is immediately trusting of her and is ready to fight for her life just as he will for the other
The main setting of this book takes place in Thurmond Camp reformatory for children with powers. This place is home to all children who have this disease and have contracted special powers from this. There are many camps were children are sent however Thurmond camp is said to be the worst one because of its cruel punishments and dangerous experimental treatments they inflict on children.
