The first thing I did was to go to the library with my partner, Andrea. We started off by researching about him online through Wikipedia, Britannica, Ebsco Host, and Google. create our webpage using nhd.weebly.org.
Using the program WeeblyNHD, my partner and I were able to create the website without any problems.
We added photos, video and important information on the website to help people understand what they read. The information we put on the website were about one of his greatest works “the Atlantic Compromise”. The agreement was that African American’s will submit to the white people government, but they would have to give something in return. My project relates to the theme Conflict and Compromise because Booker Taliaferro Washington made a compromise that started the Atlanta Exposition Speech. There was an agreement stuck in 1895 between Booker t. Washington, other Afican America, and Southen white leaders.
My project, Booker T. Washington Conflict and Compromise, relates to the theme Conflict and Compromise in history, because Booker T. Washington left a movement that later will be seen in the history, the civil rights
movement.
