In the first paragraph, the author says, “The Tsarnaev brothers responsible for the attack were the center of a manhunt that lasted four days.” This is her main argument—saying that the Tsarnaey brothers are the ones responsible for the 3 dead and 264 people injured during the Boston Marathon bombings, in 2013.

She also includes towards the end of the story, about a recent poll that had been taken among Boston residents. This poll stated that most of the citizens had a bias against Dzhokar, and wanted him to spend life in prison as a consequence for his actions. This didn’t help his case at all, because in these types of scenarios people are followers. So, if the variety of people want Dzhokar to spend life in prison, most likely the rest of the people will make that same decision in order to keep the crowd happy.
