As boxer got older he lost much of his strength and the only reason he was still pushin on was because he had wanted to finish what he had started for the animals. Boxer had known he would sooner or later die because of all the work he had put into building the windmill but that didn't stop him from pushing on and continuing the work hard so he could get enough stone to help out the animals for the windmill. Boxer had lead by example to all animals to never give up hope and to keep pushing, he even helped the other animals when they needed help with something.
