Boy Monologue
There once was a boy who was only 15 years old and has been smoking cigarettes for 5 years. He thinks his father hates him because they don't do anything together. Because of this, the boy disrespects and disobeys him as a way to show rebellion from his father. The next day, the boy comes home from a party and his dad sits him down to talk because the boy smells like cigarettes. His dad tears up and says, "Remember 2 years ago when I came home from work really happy?" And the boy replies, "Yeah, it's because you stopped smoking after a whole 46 years." The dad smiles, nods his head yes, and asks, "Do you know the reason why I stopped smoking that very day?" The boy replies, "No dad, why?" The father then says, "It's because I found out you have been stealing my cigarettes for over 3 years." …show more content…
He knows he will get in trouble but his dad then says, "I did it because I love you and I don't want you to get hurt." The boy freezes and is completely speechless. He realizes how badly he had treated his father the past years and knows his dad will never forgive him. The dad then stands up, begins to cry and says, "Thank You, son. Thank you for helping me quit smoking, and I hope you will make better decisions in life than the ones you made 5 years ago when you put that first cigarette in your mouth." His father then walks away and the boy goes to his room and cries. He then sends several snapchats to friends which are apologies to everyone and especially to his father, that say, "I'm sorry to my dad. I'm sorry to all the people I hurt whether I know them now or not, and I'm sorry I was such a fucking dick." With the boy's friends worried that he's going to hurt himself, one girl that lives in his neighborhood makes her way to his house. She enters without knocking and goes straight to his room. She sees him crying and asks what's wrong. The boy answers, "My dad convinced me to stop smoking for good and he made me realize how much I really hurt
