Boyz II Men started off as school boy singers and built their way up to a group of singers with 300 songs, Fans internationally, and deep emotions in their music that audiences love. Their music asks questions then gives the answers, say in the hook, as in the song “End of The Road”. Their music has a natural feel to it and it is made to exhibit a great deal of romanticism. The delivery of the lyrics is at times explosive and with surreal emotional expression. They sometimes go an entire song with a high pitch and end the song with a bass-baritone voice, capping it all off nicely. You can hear this in the song, “Down on Bended Knee”.
The lyrics are informative in that they don't bombard the listener with streams of information, but instead they bring it up once in a while before the hook as in the song, “Water Runs Dry”. The song gives concrete advice to a third party, it's not meant for the listener but it inadvertently gives the listener sound advice through it's calming words. Another thing that brings their music and words together well is the transferring and passing of turns to sing. When someone abruptly pauses, it's a ques for someone to start saying their lyrics, and this happens back and forth between the 4 guys(now 3) through out the entire song. This makes for an upbeat song and also makes it so that you don't get tired of one singer.
They take their music to the next level of emotional enthusiasm when they sing, their lyrics grace their melodies with gentle words to enlighten listeners. When the songs play, their voice levels often fluctuate as to create a climactic point of emphasis. Every part is a result of a segway or opening from another closing, which creates a revealing condition for the lyrics.
The lyrics are engaging and can have people singing along, dancing, or even crying. In some cases maybe change their
