As of today, I found that it can be a problem for people to pick “Whether braces are better than invisalign or if invisalign is better than braces.” So I have done some research and found articles that can show some evidence about …show more content…
the problem and to figure out if there is a solution to fix the problem. The first article I looked at was “Are braces better than invisalign?” - DentistryIQ. It gave us a brief understanding of a different view on both braces and invisalign. Invisalign is a clear tray that can fit comfortably in your mouth without visiting the doctor constantly. Braces are made of wire and cause more teeth movements. By far, it talks more about how braces have better positive than invisalign. The evidence show that braces are a faster treatment and that it does move the teeth to show an improvement to your teeth. Wanting to find more information on the topic I looked up "Does Invisalign Work Better Than Braces?" Invisalign, Braces, Metal Braces, Regular Braces, and it appears that it had given a process for both of the treatments and which one cleans the teeth the best. It had given 5 major questions that you can decide which ones you would answer with your opinion. For example, “How extensive is your case?”, this asks you what is your reason to why you would need these, whether its for crooked teeth or gaps. Another major question it provided was “Do you care if people know you're wearing braces?” This is a good question because most people pick their choice depending on if the treatment they get can be visible or invisible without people not minding it. This shows that people can be self conscience about how they look.
One thing I wanted to find out is when invisalign was invented because I remember it was a new thing a few years after I was born.
The website that talked more about its history was "Braces vs Invisalign From an Orthodontist That Uses Both -." It stated that in 2000 is when invisalign begun and became a new dental treatment for patients. On the other hand, braces were invented way back then. So we are more familiar with braces rather than invisalign because they have been around much longer which leads to not knowing the full perspective off invisalign. Furthermore in the article, it talks about how they both straighten teeth, but have a different cost, process, and etc. Knowing the cost of each can also be a way to decide which one is
affordable.
Eventually, to some up my last research article I visited "Does Invisalign Work Better and Faster than Regular Braces?" Ebraces.org. I needed to explore more facts about invisalign to know the whole background more. They started to exist between 90s-2000 and became more developed throughout this modern day. Since it is made of a plastic and doesn’t contain any wires, it has an easier process than braces do. It may cost more, although it’s simpler than braces. Depending on the people who think about taking care of their braces may be hard for them or might be a piece of cake.
After researching all this information by reading articles has helped me to figure out why it can be a problem when picking a way to fix your teeth. Knowing “Whether braces are better than invisalign or if invisalign is better than braces,” can cause a lot of stress and frustration. With people having different perspectives on each treatment, you will not find the best way to fix your teeth. No one really knows which is best one to use, but many are concerned about it. Orthodontists and their patients are question this the most since it applies to them.
Maintaining the research I got, I thought about how all this had become stated in the article. The way they would know this is from previous people who have been through these treatments. Concluding this info, a solution I would do is an experiment with both treatments on 2 different people. Being able to see the causes and effects on both of these treatments can give us observations on how each treatment worked. While doing this I would research about how many people use each per year.
