Before therapy was available people simply died of brain tumors and there was nothing you could do whatsoever. Treatment varies between person to person depending on the size and placement of the tumor, but the most common treatment for brain cancer is chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Many people also tend to get surgery to remove a brain tumor but that's not always an option unless it is close to the surface of the brain.
I managed to learn a lot about brain cancer in this project and a lot about the way that cancer affects the person and people's lives. Many people's entire lives can change on dime when someone close to them gets cancer. Many people give up
their entire life to care for someone with cancer. I think that with this knowledge in mind i can better understand the severity of cancers and take a little peak into what people with cancer have to go through. Its sad to think that many people who contract brain cancer will die and if they do manage to survive it they will live with the repercussions of the disease for the rest of their life. So in the end i think that this information made me, in a small way, i bit of a better
