The subject of my interview is Rob Reyes. He has been our next door neighbor since we moved here to Indio six months ago. He is a second generation Filipino-American that was born in America and has lived in California all of his life. Rob is 26 years old and has been married to his wife Sandra, 27, for 2 years. They don’t have any children, but do plan on having some once they save more money and the economy gets better. They are not rushing it because they have 3 dogs that are their “kids” for the time being, plus they like having their friends over on Friday nights for poker and social drinks. Rob is a technician for Time Warner Cable and has been employed with them for 7 years. His wife Sandra works at a doctor’s office in Palm Springs 30 miles away, so both of them are gone most of the day and we only see them in the evening when they are home from work.…

One would think that purchasing your first home would be a very fascinating experience; after all it is one of the most major purchases of your entire life. In America, home ownership ties in with the American Dream and the spirit of working hard to one day earn through hard work a home with a white picket fence. My husband and I felt that it was time for us to reward ourselves for all the hard work we have been putting in over the years by purchasing our first home, which was well overdue. I quickly learned the process of purchasing your first home can be very frustrating and stressful. However, if you survive the home buying process the reward is priceless once you move into your “American Dream.”…
People will always remember where they came from? Ah! When I was a child the world seem to be a place of joy and happiness. After a long week I live to go out for dinner. I usually go out with my fiancée every other Friday. It’s our way of winding down an enjoying one another. We usually laugh, joke and talk about our work week. As parents we like to go to nice quiet fancy restaurants where kids are not likely to be. Unfortunately all that changes once we get there and see that other parents hadn’t taken that into consideration. So although my fiancée and I go to get away from the children atmosphere we find ourselves in the commotion of children running wild at the restaurant.…
