BreadTalk – Boutique Bakery
A Contemporary Lifestyle Concept

BreadTalk opened in Singapore in July 2000 with a revolutionary take on the bread industry. Entering the market with its new concept of a boutique bakery, it shook up the bakery industry with its innovative and creative products. Currently the market leader in the new concept bakery, BreadTalk was listed in June 2003 on the Singapore Exchange, giving customers a stake in the popular bakery.

BreadTalk has close to 200 varieties of breads that prides itself with unique names and personalities that echo fun irreverence. Fun and creative advertising has struck a warm note with consumers. Another talking point is its sleek and modern interior design. Sleek Western concepts blend seamlessly with Eastern designs, creating a unique BreadTalk identity. Its trademark open-kitchen concept further allows customers to view the entire baking process from raw ingredients to finished products, giving customers the assurance of freshly-baked products all day long.

An Award Winning Brand
BreadTalk has received numerous awards in recognition of its spectacular business success and pioneering concepts. In the 2002 ASME-SPH Singapore Promising Brand Awards (SPBA), BreadTalk was a winner in the Most Promising Brand category and was further voted by consumers as the Most Popular Brand. In the same year, BreadTalk was ranked Number 1 in the Enterprise 50 Start Up Awards organized by Accenture, beating other high technology firms. In 2003, it was again a winner in the Most Promising Brand category and was voted by judges as Most Distinctive Brand in 2003 in the SPBA Awards.
