Breakfast Is the Most Important Meal of the Day
Is Breakfast is the Most Important Meal of the Day?
Breakfast is essential for every morning as it helps give energy for everyone. People need breakfast to perform their best. I strongly agree that breakfast is the most important meal of the day because it provides a boost for everyone, especially kids; it revs up your metabolism, it helps with your weight control.
Initially, while adults need to eat breakfast each day to perform their best, kids need it even more. Their growing bodies and developing brains rely heavily on the regular intake of food. When kids skip breakfast, they can end up going for long periods of time without food in result; it will cause physical, intellectual and behavioural problems for them.
Next, eating breakfast is a great way to get your metabolism working well for the day. When your body receives food in the morning, it tells your brain that you're going to need to start working to digest it. This wakes up the system and warms up the metabolism so it's ready to work throughout the day. When you don't eat breakfast in the morning, your body thinks that it needs to conserve the energy it has because it isn't getting any more through nutrition. This actually slows your metabolism down, which results in a decrease in the amount of calories you burn all day long.
Lastly, although many people skip breakfast in an effort to reduce their food intake and lose weight, research shows that enjoying a high-fibre breakfast, may lead to eating less food later in the day. This is probably because high-fibre meals can be quite filling, so you are less likely to snack on high-fat and sugary foods mid-morning. In fact, eating breakfast is strongly associated with successful, well-maintained weight loss.
In addition, it is important to make the most of your breakfast meal by including highly nutritious foods because it will boost you through the whole day because you will have the energy to perform tasks, especially the children. Eating breakfast will

Firstly, I support the breakfast program because kids will have better health. For example, by eating breakfast kids have energy. For me, when I wake up in the morning I feel like going back to sleep. After hurrying to school and skipping breakfast I become distracted in class and my stomach begins to ache. However, with the breakfast program kids will come to school unstressed about missing breakfast and will be wide awake, full of energy and ready to learn. Adding the breakfast program will guarantee that kids maintain energy and succeed in school. Another example of why I support the breakfast program is because without breakfast you will develop a belly and/or become overweight. Without starting your metabolism early in the day, when lunch comes an issue occurs. Without breakfast you’re metabolism starts late in the day which will overall result in a very slow metabolism. However, with the breakfast program this obesity will not be an issue in this school district. The breakfast program will definitely help prevent kid and teen obesity.…

From the article “Eating Breakfast May Beat Teen Obesity” by: Jennifer Warner it says that "teens that eat breakfast regularly eat a healthier diet and are more physically active in throughout their adolescence.” This also says that “Years later, they also gained less weight and had a lower body mass index (BMI), a measure of weight in relation to height used to measure obesity”. Teens think without breakfast they are losing calories but what they do not understand is without breakfast teenagers won’t have the energy to stay active throughout the morning or that later in the day they might eat enough to regret not eating in the morning (Jennifer Warner). The Article goes on to talk about statistics that show a relation between…

Not having breakfast will affect children’s energy levels because they haven’t had the nutrition to gather energy to get involved in activities they are faced with that day. This relates to behaviour because not having any energy may make children feel tired and irritable. When children are like this they are more likely to get angry easily because they haven’t got the patience to deal with thing as easily, having an unhealthy breakfast can also have the same effect.
