2-Patroller was known as slave patrols was a group of white men who will make sure that all slaves were being monitored. Their main role was as a special police only for slaves.
3- Down the river meant to be separated from your family and a sentence of hard work. Most male slaves will hear this phrase all the time since they will be send to the plantations until they died, while female would be send to cleaning or kitchen duty.
4- Brer Rabbit tells story of the South of The United States. This rabbit succeeds by provoking any kind of authority figure and changing social ways. Brer Rabbit’s stories show the rabbit as the slaves and the animals being the white masters.

Both of these rebellions depend on surprising the white owners that were not expecting any rebellion from their slaves. They were really important because it help the other slaves to realize that if they decide to work together, they could fight for their freedom. White owners became scared that the slaves might rebel again, and this caused the white owners to be more strict with their slaves and creating tension between their owners and slaves.
4- The planter aristocracy was shown in the ways that they dressed or their way to life, creating high image of them. In that time aristocracy was mostly shown by how much respect they had for honor. They will show it in the way they treated their guests or their fellow planters. Disrespect toward of what they say will be dealt with a duel.
5- Yeoman’s attitude despise slavery but didn’t do anything legally against it, they were looking for an easy way to make money, and they knew the way to do this was having slaves working on plantations.
