Brief Summary Of A Homeless Person
Brief Summary:

For the last few months I have been renting a room share in San Marcos CA,

A few years ago when my chronic accumulated illnesses progressed to severely debilitating diseases, I became mentally disabled, and was awarded Social Security Disability Insurance(SSDI) benefits. I believe in being prepared, maintaining optimism; even as the ongoing difficulties, and challenges of daily life require courageous acceptance that I'm unable to do certain things well anymore, most things take a very long time, and certain tasks I'm only able(mentally, and or emotionally) to try to attempt sometimes without much progress, furthermore my inability to function reinforces matters of: importance, professional(administrative, legal,

The landlord stated that they think I'm a bad guy, because I'm mental- crazy- insane. I have usually given him the same response, that is what they say around me in the morning, day, night, anytime, and definitely to you when they become very defensive as you begin to even ask them(her), why your multiple previous instructions to leave Christopher alone, and talk to you[we discussed several times how could she be so defensive, and incredibly upset questioning his loyalties of trusting me instead of her- then in her defense telling the landlord that he doesn't know that I'm mental- crazy- insane deserving of their attitudes, behaviors(Abusive/Psychological Torture, that he acknowledges is happening), and when he begins to explain it's completely inappropriate- she became super belligerent! He could even get a word in, she would not even stop for one second, as her husband kept commanding her to stop, "dear, dear, dear...x50."(I was outside smoking, and unfortunately heard all of this, which a few minutes after, I told the landlord I did hear all that, I was smoking. I took the opportunity to point out again, that I am being abused, and tortured because I'm mentally disabled, and I know I have never been disrespectful to anyone here in anyway. She is obviously …show more content…
I learned quickly that a mental health attorney is required, when you do call law enforcement(sheriff's dept.) for protection, they might decide to ask(on your behalf) a judge only they have access to, for an Emergency Protection Order(EPO). Which is very temporary(1-2 weeks) until you see a different judge, and that's when I found out my phone company informed me that a different, and separate court ordered subpoena which law enforcement would receive then contact them to access my communications with my landlord, for the restraining order, and that's another totally different judge, and court. I'm so confused; but I have documenting

According to Amnews.com (2009) “Emergency department clinicians are obliged to confront a remarkably depressing fact of American life, namely, the existence each night of approximately 700,000 Americans who have no place to sleep, whose indignities are legion, and whose needs may not fit the typical definition of medical care” (p. 2). In part due to deficient access to other regular sources of outpatient medical care or nonmedical sustenance needs; homeless individuals are more likely than others to use emergency department services. In the United States, a homeless person is defined as an individual with a disabling condition that has been homeless for at least one year. In July 2015, the Department of Veterans Affairs published a story of a man named Michael who had spent the last 10 years living under a Los Angeles bridge. When the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Mental Health America (MHA) of Los Angeles offered assistance, Michael refused their help. Although he didn’t want to be homeless, like many homeless people Michael was ashamed of his status and appearance which made him “reluctant to offers of support” (Department of Veterans Affairs). MHA Outreach workers never gave up on him and continued to try to help him. Every week, the outreach workers visited Michael and eventually gained his trust. Although Michael begins to feel more comfortable with the outreach workers, he was not yet ready…

From a young age, my life has been presented with many adversities. Some of these hardships included childhood obesity, being bullied, and homelessness. After my parents divorced when I was young, my dad forced my mother and I to leave our home. As a result, we were homeless. However, we were able to overcome this hardship thanks to the generosity of others. Coming from a low-income background, my mother and I could only afford unhealthy foods. My eating pattern along with lack of exercise lead to me weighing over 280 pounds when I was in the 7th grade. Due to my obesity, I was often bullied by children in my school. In order to hide the pain, I was feeling, I would look towards food as a comfort. One day in 8th grade I had decided that I did not want to live my life this way anymore. As a result, I started eating healthier and exercising regularly. Through this process I was able to lose over 100 pounds. By experiencing obesity, being bullied, and homelessness at a young age, I was able to develop the characteristics of being strong, driven towards success, and caring for others. Through my experiences, I have decided that I want to encourage children who are experiencing similar situations that they can overcome them.…

“She lives with a tribe of homeless teens- Runaways and throwaways, kids who have no place to go to other than the cold city streets, and no family except for one another. Abused, abandoned and forgotten, they struggle against the cold, hunger, and constant danger” (“Can’t get there from here” by Todd strasser). Here in the United States, about more than 610,000 people face the tragedy of losing their homes (Annual Homeless Assessment). In the morning I was walking with my dog, when suddenly I noticed an old man sitting on the street while people were walking on the road ignoring him. The weather seemed a bit chillier this morning and his skin was rugged and looked tough. His outfit looked dirty, especially on the jacket. I looked at that old man, but he didn’t look at me. I was thinking, why was he sitting on the street in the morning? “Why do you sit on the road?” I asked the man, He replied to me, “this is my place”. I was shocked. I thought he may be homeless, but I’ve found that living with the homeless is not so bad as long as we understand them. Most people ignore homeless, but I don’t why. He looked hungry and I asked him “Are you hungry? “He said “YES” so I went to Country Fair to get him some pizza and a drink. I gave it to him, and he told me, “I don’t how to say thank you” I felt so bad for him. I gave him a few dollars, and I told him that…
