Hatchet
Hatchet is an amazing survival story. The book is about Brian Robeson a 13 year old boy who has been stranded in the Canadian wilderness. The author really explained how Brian felt and what he had to do to survive. The author talked about a mysterious secret between Brian and his mom. The author explains in detail what it looked like, how he felt, and what he did. I think the author did a good job on explaining this.

The story starts with Brian going to visit his dad in the summer after his parents got divorced. On the plane ride to his dad the pilot has a heart attack. Getting stranded in the Canadian wilderness Brian has to learn how to survive.He only had one weapon the hatchet For seven days he had done well, but on the seventh

    This is my INS on Hatchet. The book was written by Gary Paulsen the author that also wrote previous book I did an INS on. The book is set in the Canadian woods. I'm not sure what time period this book takes place in because it doesn't say in the book. I'm guessing somewhere in the 1980's or 90's. Now I will summarize the story of this book. The story is about Brian Robeson, a 13 year old boy who is going to visit his dad in Canada after his parents' divorce. He goes from Hampton, New York to Canada on a small plane. The driver has a heart attack and dies. Brian takes over the controls and crashes into the woods. Brian is now stranded all by himself in these woods. He thinks that he will be rescued, but that doesn’t end up happening. He finds berries and other types of foods and uses those to eat. Skip all the way to the end and a tornado strikes his area and destroys his shelter. After that, he notices that the tail of the plane has emerged and he goes into it and gets the survival pack. In it, he finds a transmitter and it calls a rescue helicopter thing to him. He then gets rescued. That is pretty much bigger main parts of the book. I chose this book for INS because I said that there are some similar things about this book and the one I did previously and that interested me so I decided to do this book for my ins. I also wanted to read this book again because I forgot some of the stuff that happens throughout the book.…

    In this film a group of girls go dancing in the woods with a black slave named Tituba. They see that they have been caught by the local minister and one of the girls falls into a coma. The girl is rushed to the village and puts everyone at worry. Parris tries to calm everyone down they gathered were the girl was kept. Abigail the main girl from the clique talks the girls into admitting they were just dancing in the forest nothing else. John Proctor, a local farmer, hears about what went on in the forest. He also was working for John and his wife Elizabeth, but after she found out Abigail and her own husband were having an affair she quickly fired her from that job. In the movie you can tell that Abigail still wants to be with John but john refuses to commit another foolish act. One day Betty wakes up from her coma and begins screaming. Everyone rushes in and wonders if she was bewitched. Since her parents died and left her, they left her money and land deeds obviously they were going to say that she had been bewitched to get rid of her so that they can take her property.     Hatchet is about a 13 year old boy named Brian Robinson, he was flying to Canada to visit his father who works in the oil fields. This is the first summer that he is going to stay with his father since his parents’ recent divorce. Brian is the only passenger in a Cessna 406 plane that will take him to Canada. Little does Brian know that this trip will change his life forever. Since his parents got divorced he hasn’t seen his father. He knows a secret about his mom that his father doesn’t. He tries to tell him a lot. On his way there his pilot experiences a massive heart attack. Brian is left to fly the plane on his own. Brian faces many hardships. Like his encounter with a bear and skunk. Almost being blinded by your own bow. No Hope of being rescued. No hope of survival. Near the end of the book Brian realizes that he is the new Brian. There is hope of survival. Brian is somewhere in the forests of Ontario or Quebec, in a region called the Canadian Shield. Carved out by glaciers long ago, the region is made up of ancient granite rock. It extends, in a horseshoe shape, from the southern edge of the Arctic Islands, around Hudson Bay, and over to the eastern coast of Newfoundland. The climate in the northern part of the Canadian Shield is extremely cold, with average temperatures in July ranging from forty to fifty degrees. Luckily Brian was there when it wasn’t there when it was extremely cold ,or it would be very hard to survive with snow so deep and no game. He starts to hunt.…
