Brief Summary Of The Story 'The Hatchling Turtles'

The Hatchling Turtles is a story about both the journey of a turtle coming home to lay her eggs on the beach and the hatching of her eggs. The turtles instinctively know to come home to their own original ancestral hatchling site during the month of February to lay their eggs. Now, it is time for this turtle to return to her beach on Bimini Island to lay her own eggs. Before she reaches the shores, she will overcome various obstacles during her travels to reach her final destination determined to lay her eggs. Once the turtle has arrived at her beach, she emerges from the water’s edge, onto the shore, to start her difficult trek toward the protected high dry sand dunes where she has chosen to lay her eggs. She will slowly drag herself
