The Man Out of This World In a song and in a book what grabs our attention and drag us in for more is a great hook. Time keeps everything moving forward for the better but, in music time is not helping it is making dumber and dumber. Songs nowadays are not worth been in the category of music they are mostly about sexual intercourse, drugs, or random dumb topics. Yet there is an American singer-songwriter/record producer who is out of this world. Bruno Mars. He rose from his childhood, took the path to success, and wrote songs with so much meaning. Bruno Mars’s real name is Peter Gene Hernandez. He was born in October 8, 1985 on Honolulu Island but raised on Waikiki. Bruno is one of six children from Peter Hernandez and Bernadette San Pedro Bayot (Bernie). At the age of two his father nickname “Bruno”, because of his resemblance to a wrestler name Bruno Sammartino.Later on he got “Mars” when girls said that he lived in different planet and he responded “Well I guess I’m From Mars”. As a child he was surrounded by musicians and instrumental music he got passionate about singing. He was known in the island as the Elvis impersonator. Mars attended Roosevelt High school where he and some friends of his formed a band known as The School Boys, they sang oldies hits. In 2003 at the age of 17 he moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue a musical career
A friend introduced him to a songwriter name Phillip Lawrence. “Everything’s good right now. It’s really paying off because now my songs are on the radio. It took me a while to get it, but when I got it, I think I got it right. And I’m very proud on how my songs are representing me as an artist” Every song has a meaning some of them actually do make sense others just do not. Bruno has many fabulous songs on many different topics such as love, friendship, helpful, and drowsiness. In the music industry, there have been many figures that have transformed the business, as we know it. Perhaps the most successful of these is Antonio ‘L.A.’ Reid. Antonio Reid has been best known for his determination to strive for success. He exhibits an array of skills both in his musical talents and managerial flair. Having been exposed to both the singer/songwriter, and behind-the-scenes work since his roots in the industry, Reid has without a doubt grasped the music business in its entirety in a way in which no other person has. Displaying musical skill in vocals, piano, and percussion (Net Industries, 2011. Para8) as well as his outstanding ability to manage and multitask, describing himself as an “overachiever”(Norment, 2003. Para 8.), Reid fits all the requirements for a successful career in the music industry. However what set’s him apart from the rest, is his infamous ability know talent when he see’s it. Despite being unable to describe exactly how he obtained such a skill in the industry, stating, “It’s something that I feel when I meet an artist”(Net Industries, 2011. Para10), it is without saying that he has proven his ability to recognise star-quality when he can see it. This is evident through his countless triumphs in his career, discovering successful artists such as Toni Braxton, TLC, Usher and Pink, just to name a few. (Net Industries, 2011. Para10&11) Reid’s unique sense of knowledge in the music industry, along with his other attributes, distinguishes him from others in the music industry, and has helped his success. His passion for all genres of music, having grasped the importance of musical diversity, has set him apart from others in his line of work. Not only is this something that I admire in Reid, but also it is something that I wish to apply to my own career in the entertainment industry, and hope to obtain enough experience and knowledge to strengthen a sense of understanding of what can be successful music. I…

The words of another person can be very influential and persuasive and by me saying that I am going to enlighten you on why I think the best rapper of this time is Kendrick Lamar. With me being born in 1994 while there was the notorious Tupac, who died in the year of 1994 also, and were famous for his raps and statements he put in his lyrics. So therefor I never go to listen to the so called heir of rap with my own expectations. In result of that I have a keen sense to balance Kendrick Lamar’s raps and statements to Tupac’s because I consider him the Tupac of my generations. The way he puts raps together makes you trigger your deep thinking skills. In my personal opinion I escalate him to being the most intellectual non degree having person I have heard rap in my time. He can inform you on life struggles, government issues and also peer problems.…

Whether it’s modern day rap, 90’s hip-hop, 80’s rock, or 70’s soul music, each era has a few good songs with one thing in common; meaningful lyrics. Most people can fathom a good beat when they hear one, but for me, the lyrics contain the most efficacy. The lyrics are the best part of a song because the lyrics are the part of the song that everyone sings along to, and the part that everybody replays in their head a million times a day. And although nobody realizes it, a melody is just as great as the lyrics because the two support each other to make up a masterpiece of art. For me, a great song with inspiring lyrics and a good beat triggers an explosion of dopamine throughout my body, and that feeling gives me a boost of confidence with so much more that is indescribable. So if you are listening to a song and you hear a verse or a line that makes you stop and think in depth about the true meaning, the artist has done their…
