Mission Statement
The mission of the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is stated as “through the partnership with the citizens of our community, provide for the highest possible degree of protection for the county residents, guests, and their properties”. Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office also vows to enhance public safety and to develop a sense of responsibility for the community and its business’s.

Administration is composed of the Sheriff and deputy sheriff along with their Computer technician, and the assistant deputy. The assistant deputy and deputy sheriff keep things moving in a smooth process by handling all types of paperwork that may come across their desk. The computer technician may not seem as an important role, but he handles all computers in the dispatch and every mobile computer stationed in deputies patrol car. These computers are essential for a smooth flow of communications on a 24 hour …show more content…
The jail is a sense of pride for the community and as well as a way to offer jobs back to the community. The jail houses up to 700 inmates and is located on near route 1 and I-85 which leads to less traffic through town from localities and states picking and dropping off inmates.
Recreation Activities
The Sheriff along with his deputies take pride in coaching little league baseball and softball every summer to give back to the community and get to know the children and parents that they are serving to protect on a daily basis. This also leads to a way to relieve stress and a friendly competition among the deputies on whose team wins it all at the end of the season.

The Brunswick Sheriff’s office also gives back to the community by establishing police presence at the local schools to encourage better behaviors and a protective atmosphere at a place where violence should not exist. These officer’s go to special training and are there during school hours to re-ensure to the community that the protection of the children are a number 1 priority of the agency.
