Linda Naiman (2005, online) suggests,
“Creativity is typically used to refer to the act of producing new ideas, approaches or actions, while innovation is the process of both generating and applying such creative ideas in some specific context.”
In simpler words, innovation involves successful implementation of creative ideas. We can say that creativity is the act of producing new approaches and imaginative ideas. In the same time, innovation is the production or implementation of an idea in some particular context. So if we have ideas, but don 't act on them, then it means that we are only imaginative but not creative. …show more content…
That means making sure creative people can access resources whenever they look for data or answers to questions.
Moreover, resisting the temptation to look for immediate results can improve the creative process, with other words, setting deadlines should not be overused because they often interfere with the creative process.
Similarly, commitment to drive the best ideas through to implementation can encourage other innovators by showing them that their best efforts will actually be adopted.
