Bugs Pizza Persuasive Essay
Bug Pizza or Bug Muffin Nicholas J. Are you willing to eat a pizza with bugs on it, or eat a muffin with insects that could not be seen? Well, in this persuasive essay, I will tell my opinion and three reasons why I chose it. By the way, I chose the pizza. Let’s move on with this essay. One reason that I would eat a pizza with insects is that I know what I am eating. Also, maybe it could fall off if it is too close to the edge. Unlike the muffin were you could be eating something bad that you do not know. Since the bugs are inside the muffin, they will not have a chance to fall off. And that was my first reason. Another reason why I would eat the pizza is that it is a baked pizza with the bugs

In the historic novel Lord of the Flies, written by William Goling, A plane has crashed on an unhabituated island in the Pacific as they are trying to flee from the war. Although at the beginning of the story the boys are obsessed with law and order; but near the end of the book, the boys get into a short-sided and life changing war; just like the United States in 1945. He wrote about political philosophy, epistemology, and education. Locke's writings helped found modern Western philosophy and made an enormous impact. In 1690, he wrote “The Second Treatise,” which compromised an idea of society based on natural rights and contract theory. In this portion of work, he came up with revolutionary ideas that influenced numerous societies, including Americans. Imagine a world with no adults, no rules, and no consequences for your actions. Some kids utopia. But not for these boys. In William Goldings “Lord of the Flies” a mass group of English boys, the oldest being about 12, crash landed on an island in the middle of the ocean after an attempt to be transported to safety due to WWII. The boys eventually come to the conclusion that no adults have landed with them. This is where it all begins. The need for civilization, loss of innocence, power struggle, fear of the unknown, loss of identity. In a world with no rules, no structure, and no consequences, would humanity survive? Maybe all of our inner savage would take charge. Because in the end, we are only animals.…

2005 will mark the 100-year anniversary of the first pizzeria in America. Americans eat approximately 100 acres of pizza each day, which is about 350 slices per second. According to an American Dairy Association random sampling survey, pizza is America 's fourth most craved food behind cheese, chocolate, and ice cream. American 's obviously love pizza; we have even designated the month of October as National Pizza Month. But whether you bake your pizza in your kitchen oven, in a wood-burning stove, eat it in a restaurant, or choose delivery, there is no denying this phenomenon has become as American as apple pie.…

Our pizza came out looking like a soggy, colorless, depressing piece of bread. The bread of the pizza was so soggy, it seemed as if the pizza was drenched in water which did not help the taste of the pizza at all. All the condiments and toppings on the pizza looked so dull, as if they came out of a refrigerated container, none of the vegetables were fresh and the tomato sauce did not even taste like tomatoes! My children kept on complaining how bad the pizza was and saying, “we should have went to Dominos!” I completely agree with them. The pizzas at Domino's are voluptuous, juicy, and delicious. They use all natural vegetables and meats making the pizza healthy and tasty with high quality bread for the crust. Their pizza compared to this depressing “thing” proves how much better their company is and how much they actually care about their…

The state of school lunches has been a point of debate for many since Michelle Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act signed into law December of 2010, giving full authority to the USDA in setting the nutritional standards for all foods regularly sold in school lunch lines, stores, and vending machines. The law was set to provide additional funding to meet the updated standards, however, the cost was severely underestimated. Using data provided by Medicaid, eligibility for the free or reduced school lunch programs has seen a definite increase, although participation has not (Lee, 2010). In a press release, U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius was quoted saying “The Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act is a significant step forward in our effort to help America's children thrive and grow to be healthy adults... By increasing the number of students eligible to enroll in school meal programs and improving the quality of food served, this legislation simultaneously tackles both hunger and the obesity levels currently affecting too many communities across this nation.” I would like to draw attention to her careful wording of “...step forward in our effort...” A subject as incredibly important as the nutrition of…
