AGAINST
You don't have to watch it if you don't want to
Animal cruelty
Huge part of history, culture and should be seen as art
Not a good influence for young children watching TV (violence, animal cruelty, etc)
Animals killed are used for eating – no worse than animals raised in battery farms for food
It is an outdated sport – we should move on?
It's a show of the matador's true skill
Many people are also injured in the sport – matadors and sometimes even the public
People prefer to watch a sport with risk
People are not forced into playing – they volunteer and the best are respected and rewarded
May people like watching it on TV
Using the TV stops people having to go to the arena so there is no risk of them getting hurt ;)
Great for tourism and good for the economy
Better than other things on TV / there are worse things on TV that could have a more -ve effect on children (WWE, horror movies, adult content, swearing, etc)

Rajoy: Thank you for having me.
Pedro: So, you have probably heard of the controversy surrounding your decision so could you just tell us why you decided to lift the ban and broadcast bullfighting on TVE again?
Rajoy: Well, I myself am am a huge fan of bullfighting and I grew up watching it with my father. It is a sport that has existed in Spain for a very long time and is an important part of our history and culture. Therefore, I feel that it should be shown on
