Abortion
Abortion is the termination of pregnancy before the fetus is capable of independent life.. When the expulsion from the womb occurs after fetus becomes viable, usually at the end of six months of pregnancy, it is technically a premature birth. The Abortion is and has always been a sensitive issue. There are so many people that are constantly debating whether or not abortion should be done or not. Some think abortion is not the right thing to do and it should never be done. Some say that it is actually killing a human being. On the other hand, some people say that the parents should have the right to choose. They say that it is actually not murder until the baby is born. It is safe to say that abortion is one of the most controversial issues in America today. It is also one of those issues that will never be agreed upon. I think that the abortion should be left up to the parent or parents that are in the situation. I personally think that abortion should continue to be legal, because it is that mother’s personal choice. In the United States, thousands of women died from illegal abortion. It was not until 1973 that abortion became legal in all states. The controversy over abortion did not happen overnight. Abortion has actually been brewing since the early 1960s. By the late 1960s, abortion rights activists were rallying their cause on the streets and taking it into courts across the country. Pro-Life groups and individuals began blockading and even bombing abortion clinics in the 1970s. Pressure from the Pro-Life groups cause many physicians to stop performing abortions. Other physicians stopped out of fear or because they just didn’t like doing abortions. When we think about legal abortion, it may be the cause for encouraging teens to have sex. Teen sex is increasing from the influence of sexually oriented TV, movies, and ads. Although abortion may be one of the most causes for the
