Disability Bullying It happens all over the world. Some cases of this can go global, or even unnoticed.
Regardless it is wrong, its inhumane, and someone need’s to put an end to this. Bullying has become a common problem for people with disabilities, with verbal bullying the most prevalent. Bullying affects everyone involved and no one comes out to be the winner. Even the bully is a victim. Anyone can be a bully and may not even realize it. Bullying can be physical or mental and can occur over the Internet, when the bully and the victim are not even in the same place. By creating an environment that promotes respect and acceptance, bullying can stop. Why are disabled victims targeted for bullying? The bully gets a sense of power over the victim, to make the bully look & feel better to their peers, because it is expected of them to be part of the "in click/group", the victim may refuse to conform to the bullies wishes, and the bully often has self esteem & feelings of inadequacy issues, some have been bullied themselves. Some people are very insecure and selfish. They don't understand the point of someone that has a disability sometimes or they need a reason to feel good about themselves. Bullies, often target people who are weak or cannot defend themselves, because this makes them feel big and bad. Some victims have been bullied so often that they become immune to it and stop recognizing it for what it is. Or maybe they fear that if they reach out for help, something will happen again. Everyone is a bully at some point in there life. Let’s put a stop to it now, our parents gave us a life and this was not meant to be mean to others but to help them. If we can all come together and stop bullying, this will end and lives will be saved. One person can be a bully and it can start a chain reaction that is negative, so let’s start a positive chain reaction by showing support to victims of bullies. This is up to you, all the bullies, let’s put a stop to this tirade

Unfortunately bullying is becoming more and more common amongst children, workmates, elderly and people with disabilities. There are three different types of bullying these are verbal bullying, social bullying and physical bullying. Verbal bullying is when you write or say bad things on people for example teasing or threatening. Social bullying is when you hurt someone’s feelings for example embarrassing someone publicly and leaving someone behind but on purpose. The last one physical bullying is when you hurt someone’s body such as hitting and pushing. So basically bullying is when someone use force, threat and intimidation on someone to dominate that person. An example of bullying is a careworker is using verbal bullying on a disabled person she keeps saying that he has no good to society, he’s waste of space etc.…

Some people bully others because they believe that doing so will make themselves feel better, even though the outcome is usually the complete opposite. Maybe for a moment they feel amazing, but looking back on it, bullies probably feel really bad about what they did. These bullies, although they appear to not have any sad feeling themselves, probably have a lot of unwanted things going on in their lives (such as divorced parents, the loss of a loved one, the fact that they have no friends, ect.) so they put people down by either physically harming them, verbally abusing them, or by use of a rather recent source: the internet. When you hear of bullying, the first thing you imagine is probably someone getting beat up. This method of bullying is called physical bullying, which is basically any undesirable form of contact from one person to another. This can be as simple as just an unwanted friendly hug, but as in the…

Some of the times that kids with disabilities get bullied, it is due to the fact that the bully is insecure. Students that are bullied at home commonly become the school bullies. They take out their rage on smaller or weaker children in order to give themselves power since they are powerless at home. Another reason a student may bully another is self protection. Sometimes a child will participate in belittling another person to prevent the bullies from picking on them; they divert the attention to another and become part of the power rather than be victimized. Most bullies have low - self esteem and feel powerless at their core.…
