Bully's Restaurant Report
The south is certainly one of the best areas for good home-style, soul food. Bully’s Restaurant opened up in Jackson, Mississippi, in 1982 on Livingston Avenue. This adored soul food eatery was built directly from the ground up by Tyrone Bully and his father. It was initially planned to be a short-order lunch location, with no delay the restaurant changed into a dine-in soul food organization with a full menu including everyday specials. Bully’s doors open 11:00 a.m. Monday through Saturday, and the parking lot remains packed until Tyrone Bully locks up at 6:30 every single night. If you are visiting Jackson, Mississippi and have a passion for good quality old southern comfort food, Bully's is the place to visit.
The service is faultless!

Many people are on lunch break and are rushing to get some delightful soul food before their break ends. The parking spaces are limited and the restaurant itself is relatively small, so come with only a few friends and make arranges to drive just maybe one vehicle if you intend to sit down and eat. You can also place your order to-go if you do not want to dine-in. Mostly every time I go, I always get my food to-go so I won’t have to witness the hectic crowd. The menu is straight forward, choose a meat and sides. The meat ranges from fried or baked chicken, fried or baked catfish, ribs, meatloaf, oxtails, neck bones, fried or baked pork chops, beef tips, shrimp, etc. Different sides include: lima beans, collard greens, turnip greens, mustard greens, macaroni, corn, yams, mashed potatoes and gravy, rice and gravy, peas, okra, etc. The food is provided on plastic trays, similar to grade school days, but the food served in those trays is beyond delicious from any of the food from grade school. The prices are very reasonable for the great amount of food they give you. You probably will spend just about $10.00 at the most on one meal, it all just depends on what you order. I have tried mostly all the food such as, the fried chicken, mac and cheese, collard greens, pork chops, pasta, beef tips and rice, red beans and rice, peach cobbler, banana bread, pound cake, etc. Like I said before, the portions are very large, so you

I am currently employed at the Olive Garden in Oshkosh WI so I only thought doing my managerial report project on this service restaurant was appropriate. The Oshkosh Olive Garden was opened in the April of last year and has been running smoothly ever since. Olive Garden is a chain restaurant so there are locations all over the United States around 700 to be exact, this means a lot of the price setting and procedures are set country wide not from restaurant to restaurant. Even so each Olive Garden keeps track of their own sales and personally contributes to the overall company. At Olive Garden we proudly serve lunch and dinner with a casual Italian dining experience. The dinner entrees are priced anywhere from $11- $19 a meal but included unlimited soup or salad and then breadsticks. I have been working at the Olive Garden for about 7 months now so I felt that I knew most of what goes on on the outside of the restaurant but it is time to take a deeper look into the procedures put into this everyday restaurant.…

Texas Roadhouse was the dinner place of choice for my family and me the other night; it wouldn’t be the first time we decided to dine at this local restaurant just a few short miles from our current residence. My family and I decided to dine in at Texas Roadhouse not only because of its excellent convenience; located in the center of an outdoor shopping mall that consisted of many shops such as, Wal-Mart, Target and Kohl’s to name a few in which two of those stores required my consideration for a product I was in search of that night but also Texas Roadhouse reminds you of the good ole western roots in which we take part of on a daily basis here in Gilbert, Arizona. I will be evaluating the pros and cons of Texas Roadhouse, three criteria will be used: the total cost must not exceed $25 per person; the menu as well as the establishment must be kid friendly, and reasonable wait times.…

The majority of people that came during lunch hour got to-go plates and the ones that ate their meal there spent roughly 20-30 minutes there. Almost everyone that came in ordered the regular poke bowl and only one person ordered a burrito, which is similar to a California roll. Aside from their bowls and burritos, Hoki Poki offers Boba tea, hot tea, seaweed paper, spam musubi, and miso soup. However, I did not see anyone order any of these items. I did notice that their prices are a bit high for the portions they serve.…

Have you ever wondered what the food used in fast food a restaurant is made up of? In the book Fast Food Nation, authored by Eric Schlosser, he explains many of the tactics used by the fast food industry in an effort to inform society. Fast food started around the 1950’s when all the men were fighting in World War 2. Women were forced to leave their homes in search for jobs to support their families; this led to the idea of getting quick meals for the family after work. What started as a war time effort to support families became as we know as the fast food industry. Over the years we have seen this industry grow at a staggering rate, which has led it to be one biggest if not the biggest industry in the world. One cannot go down the street without seeing a…

According to Fast Food Nation’s author, Eric Schlosser, Hungry Planet: What the World Eats is a “beautiful and important book about one of the world’ s most important subjects.” This book, written by Peter Menzel and Faith D’Aluisio, takes on the topic of food. Yet, the authors don’t simply talk about different foods around the world, they go in depth into the cultural, social, and economical aspects of eating. They display, through the use of pictures, a week’s worth of food for numerous different families around the globe. They then proceed to give data on how much each family spends on what, such as fresh fruit or proteins. This results in an array of differences between all the families, some more unique than others. Food is a necessary,…
