1. Introduction about Burger King Vietnam
Burger King, founded in 1954 by James McLamore and David Edgerton, is one of the largest fast food chains company in the world. Its menu has not only basic hamburger but also many none – hamburger sandwiches including chicken, fish. At the end of the year 2012, Burger King has 12,997 restaurants over 86 countries. Most of them were owned by its franchisees.
Burger King Vietnam is also a franchise business model. Two stores of Burger King were opened in Tan Son Nhat and Da Nang airport in 2011. Until to October 2012, Burger King began to take part in Vietnam fast food industry by opening its first restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City. To serve the increasing demand on fast food in modern life in large cities, Burger King has opened more and more restaurants over our country. Now besides two stores in the airport, there are twelve restaurants in Vietnam, including 9 ones in Ho Chi Minh, 1 in Da Nang and 2 in Ha Noi City. A leader of Burger King Vietnam said that they wanted to open from 3 to 4 restaurants per month in large cities. “Our goals are to open as many restaurants and as rapidly as possible to allow more Vietnamese to enjoy our product”, he said.
Menu of Burger King Vietnam includes both beef and chicken for main ingredient. A basic meal includes a hamburger, French fries and coke. Whooper, the most famous beef hamburger of Burger King in the world, is also served in Vietnam with two sizes. There are also other kinds of hamburger such as Chic’n Crisp burger, bacon cheese burger. Besides, there are some snacks such as chicken tender, chicken Mexican Drumlet, onion ring, French fries and other beverages.
