Burned Fat Lab Report
When fat is stored in the body, while were losing weight, the fat gets burned off. First, in activity 1.1, the lab data about jogging shows there was an -6 difference in calories before then after exercising. Also, on page 11, it states, “You know that when you go from sitting to running, you increase the amount of energy your body needs. This increase in amount of activity causes the changes you observed when you exercised in class.” This evidence means to me that, when we work out, we burn the fat we ingested earlier on & with the burned fat some of it gets stored up for later. Second, in activity 3.1, the data for the oil suggests that when we burned oil claims that it took 20 minutes to burn out the wick in the oil. Compared to the carbohydrates, that took 30 seconds to …show more content…
Based on that data, there was a -2 difference in calories before & after burning the beef fat. To add, on page 116, states , “ You are burning food as an model for the chemical reaction that provides your cells with energy.” This evidence means to me that, the mass of the fat went down as it burned up into smaller food molecules. Lastly, in activity 9.1, the amount of oxygen that's going to your cells is 20ml, but the CO2 that's going into our cells in 48 ml. Also, the amount of oxygen coming out of the cells in my lungs is 15ml, but the CO2 thats coming out of my cells through my lungs is 52 ml. To support that, on page 126, it states, “ Food provides your body with energy in a chemical reaction called cellular respiration. Cellular respiration is similar to burning.” This evidence means to me that, when the product of CO2 & oxygen is produced in the lungs it’s called cellular respiration, & it's apart of an chemical reaction that causes burning. Therefore, when fat is stored in the body, while were losing weight, the fat gets burned
