Moreover, Allstar Brands' Allround product is one of the highest market share leaders in the over-the-counter (OTC) cold and allergy remedy market. Therefore, the persistent success of the Allstar brand in regards to the profits and sales previously formed, has made it a crucial component of the Allstar’s Pharmaceuticals Division's long-term strategic plan. Specifically, Allstar brand targets young men and women with children experiencing cold and allergy symptoms. A more difficult strategy that also focuses on customers who have purchased the product is to target competitors’ customers (Winer & Dhar, 2016, p. 39). Ordinarily, this segment will prove to have the best value in the long run compared to those customers already set with a specific brand.…

When entering the business field it is of vital importance to have a strategic plan. However, over time strategies may change and plans will need to be altered in order to ensure that the business stays relevant and that the business will continue to increase market share while continuing the business endeavor. Many have seen it time and time again where companies start out with a business plan and refuse to tweak it in order to meet consumer demand and they eventually fall from the industry leader that they once were (QuickMBA, 2011). For example, a prominent company such as Microsoft has been caught ignoring the mobile market, but now the smartphone era has become centerfold and they are nowhere near the top like there are with PCs. The same goes for any industry, including the medical field.…

I do not believe other retailers should close on Sundays just because Chick- Fil-A is doing so. Every business has its ways to conduct operations. I think they should develop a culture that is unique to them; something that represent company’s core values. Just because it worked for Chick-Fil-A does not guarantee it will work for others.…

As Chief Operation Officer, I would start by reviewing the New Belgium Brewery SWOT analysis to understand the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that were identified by opening up the Asheville or Port Collins brewery locations (Ferrell & Hartline, 2014). The SWOT will provide detail information about a company’s “financial performance, resources, production facilities and capacity, market share, customer perceptions, product quality, economic conditions and technology” (Ferrell & Hartline, 2014). One must understand the opportunities the company has faced in the past with new implementations in order to be successful in the future and not repeat the same mistakes (Ferrell & Hartline, 2014). The key pros and cons that I would…

The option to purchase high quality natural food is available for consumers who are health conscious. The weakness for Whole Foods is viewed as a luxury shopping destination. Case Study Burt's Bees

Our product decisions should start with clear product lines and brand image. I suggest we keep the original Burt`s bees image on the products. Our products should be segment into different product lines, face and lip care for mass customers as regular product lines, body care, baby care and makeup for high-end customers as our luxury products lines. By saying so, I mean that natural personal care is a trend. We should launch different product lines to meet different demands rather than staying in the same and simple product line. The next step is choosing the distribution channel. I suggest keep our luxury lines products stay in the drugs store or healthy store, besides, we recommend display our body and baby care products into shopping mall such as Kohl`s and Macy`s. In this way, Burt`s Bees could remain a premium image to keep the good relationship with clients in the niche market. On the other hand, we recommend put our lips and hand care products into big-box market, such as Wal-Mart. Display the Burt Bees products near the Clorox promotion shelves. In this way, those used to buy Clorox stuff, especially those housewives can easily find the personal care products, Burt`s Bess particularly. Even they do not know our products before,…

Kroger Co. as with most of its competition finds itself in a unique and challenging position to maintain market dominance while suffering the effects of a sluggish economy. While having an impressive market share in 44 markets and 31 states, the weaknesses of operating manufacturing widespread operations, open it up to contamination risk and pricing problems from within the organization that must be accounted for either at the supply or demand side. Kroger’s expansion into the finance market proved valuable in 2007 and an the opportunity to expound that success is at the…

After disappointing consecutive earnings in 2015, Whole Foods is approaching new target markets by introducing the 365 by Whole Foods in 2016. The purpose is to make available fresh healthy foods to the mass market in affordable prices. The catch is to attract young consumers who want to live a healthy lifestyle and shop organic food. "We want people who don't shop at Whole Foods to shop at 365” Jeff Turnas, president, explained to Los Angeles Times. It’s a smaller store with the intention to create a long-term relationship where shoppers would look for convenience while Whole Foods purpose would still be the same, communicating value to customers. Therefore, the strategy is to place the 365 stores in “America’s Hippest Hipster Neighborhoods”…

Burt's Bees follows the highest possible standards for packaging sustainability, furthering its dedication to the cause as a member of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition. Since the brand's start at a crafts fair selling $200 worth of honey, the company has since expanded to candles, lip balm and now more than 150 products. In 2009, revenue topped $250 million. Public relations efforts are in place to help promote organizational efforts toward social responsibility/sustainability. An example of the efforts of this is the website based program launched a Natural Launchpad grant program, an exciting annual grant program to recognize up-and-coming entrepreneurs who share our passion for improving the health and well-being of our planet and everyone on it.
