COURSE DESCRIPTION
Students will gain detailed knowledge of various electronic spreadsheet technologies that will allow them to perform organization and analysis of a variety of business, personal and organizational tasks. Advance spreadsheet techniques such as formatting, formulas, graphs, macros, and database capabilities and management are taught. Students will use logical decision-making and effective data display to design charts, use data tables and Excel scenarios, enhance decision making with Solver, and troubleshoot workbooks. Through completion of a semester project, the student will learn the practical uses and applications of electronic spreadsheets for business management functions by building various financial scenarios of a corporation.
PRE/CO-REQUISITE
OT 103 or Permission of the Business Department Chairperson or BUS & ACC

STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to demonstrate by means of homework assignments, team projects, lab assignments, exams, and a final exam that they have met the following learning outcomes:
Identify the various elements of an Excel workbook
Apply predesigned formatting to cells in a workbook
Implement basic file management techniques.

Develop formulas using Excel
