Joshua was encouraged by God to lead the people to the land of promise. Taking a risk and being a man of your action is what God was applying to Joshua. The same approach has to be taking in Marketing Management. Leadership and taking risk to run a Marketing Department is having the courage to make risky decisions and believing in you. try to get the word out about Jesus so other people can see and hear the goodness of Jesus. Managers in Marketing try to get out the good word of their product to people to buy. When he returned, having received the kingdom, he ordered these servants to whom he had given the money to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by doing business.”(Luke 19:15 NIV)”. Chief Executives give Marketing Manager rein to go out and create profit from the budget that is being provided to Marketing. The Bible can be use as a guide to corporate ethnic code of good practice. The Bible teaches us to be honest. Being honest in the corporate world include not advertising false products, treating employees fair as well as competitors.
Looking at the four P’s of marketing:
Positioning – how the product was to be presented to the market – as a high end product, a commodity item, or somewhere in between.
Packaging – which could be anything from blister packs and color choices for some items to showroom lighting and high gloss wax jobs for luxury vehicles.
Pricing – is pretty self explanatory, and it has to be in keeping with and support the positioning choice.
Promotions – referring to any special deals to end users or distribution channels that would promote the movement of the product through the supply chain either from the “pull” side or on the “push” side
