EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The aim of this report is to advise Dan and Nicole with what future pathway their business should take after setting up their winery tour business. It compares the differences between a partnership and a private company. This report will compare initial capital, registration, liability, legal entities, management and control, taxation, profit and the life span of the business.
All of these factors should be considered before making a recommendation at the end of the report.

“Dan and Nicole are married with two teenage children. Dan has been thinking of starting his own business providing winery bus tours. His plan is to start off small, with perhaps a single 13-seater van, but the long term goal would be to offer coach tours to wineries all over Australia. Nicole would work in the business and they both hope that one day it would be large enough for their children to also be involved in the business.”

INTRODUCTION
Dan and Nicole are married with two teenage children. They have been planning to start their own business providing winery bus tours. They plan to start off small but over time grow into a national sized business providing winery tours all over Australia. Nicole would like to be involved in the business, however in the future they plan to involve the children in the business. For their business to be successful they must choose an appropriate business structure.
