Advertising is a well-known and important part of the marketing world for any business. Advertising companies raise and spend in millions of dollars each year from creating new ideas and selling campaigns. Many hours are put into creativity and developing each print ad we see every day in magazines, billboards, television ads, etc.
Advertisement designers want to make their work meaningful to their viewers so that they can relate to these ads and purchase the items they are trying to sell. This works best when people in their advertisements are relatable such as celebrities, athletes, politicians, etc. In a world that’s increasingly becoming one small global village, companies cannot help but take advantage of the various mediums created to advertise their goods and services. Research has shown that immense profit has been recorded by most companies who have invested hugely in advertising. Although no one knows the origin of advertising, time has proven that people’s opinion to buy have been greatly influenced by the impact of advertising.
Show a product over and over again as extremely good coupled with dazzling pictures of women with clear and bright skin and you will notice the increased demand for the product in the coming weeks and months. The art of advertising has often been criticized by its detractors as a form of deceptive propaganda.
Critics argue that advertising can also have a huge influence on society. It tells the consumers that only purchasing products makes you happy and therefore people compare each other on their belongings. Women also compare themselves with the beautiful and very skinny models they see on commercials and ads. This sometimes results in eating disorders and a low self-esteem of women who don’t look like these models. Another bad effect is, that minority groups are fully being eliminated from the Market. Commercials are also an important part of the income of a TV station which leads to the



Bibliography: Remarks Hello, I am Roshni Jayesh studying in 12th Grade ISC board in SNK. This is my commerce project which includes two projects 1) Project gearing towards job market , which lists down my SWOT analysis personal as well as Academic, and based on the SWOT the two courses I have chosen and listed down two colleges for each courses. I have also given the basic details about the colleges I am planning to go. Further more as per guidelines given my teacher I have prepared my Biodata in Visual CV which talks about interests and skills I have in me. Last I have attached a Job offer in my project and have written application for it. 2) My second project consists of 2 Analytical essays which are – ‘advertisement and its effects on society’ and ‘ kite flying and management lessons’.
